WIZARD,GALLERY is looking for dedicated interns to join our Milan team. This internship provides a practical opportunity to gain experience in the art industry and work closely with experienced professionals. Interns will be involved in various tasks essential to the gallery’s operations, contributing to our mission to support and promote contemporary art.
Internship Overview:
We are currently accepting applications for our Winter 2024 internship program. This program offers insight into the operations of a contemporary art gallery, including:
• Gallery administration and operations
• Artist liaison and communication
• Event coordination and support
• Registrarial tasks and art handling
• Image archiving and librarian duties
• Research and analysis
• Participation in art fairs and exhibition preparations
• Sales and client services
• Visitor support and gallery events
Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate, recent graduate, or postgraduate student with a background in Art History, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills. (Preferibly: Italian, English and a third language.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment and prioritize effectively.
• Interest in pursuing a career in the art industry.
• User of Microsoft Office Suite and confident with apps or managing online systems.
• Must be based in Milan during the internship period.
• Must handle sensitive gallery, artist, and client information with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist gallery staff across various departments, including sales, artist relations, research, and events.
• Handle administrative tasks such as managing visitor inquiries, publications, inventory, and preparing for client meetings.
• Support gallery openings, art fairs, and other events to ensure smooth operations.
• Contribute to special projects that enhance gallery functions and artist engagement.
Program Details:
• Schedule: 13:00 am –7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday (flexible schedules may be accommodated).
• Duration: October 1st - December 21st, 2024.
• Compensation: to be discussed.
