WIZARD GALLERY is pleased to announce the solo show of Carlos Alvarez Las Heras (Spain, 1982) "Echoes of the Forest: Wild Serenity." The exhibition will open on Thursday, June 20th at 19:00, and will run until July 20th.
"Echoes of the Forest: Wild Serenity" is conceived as an ode to nature in all its facets. Human figures and emotions intertwine with those of animals and natural forces, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that borders between the bucolic and the imaginary. The exhibition unfolds in a series of pieces that celebrate the harmonious coexistence of humans and animals, capturing the peace and serenity found in their wild essence. It juxtaposes domestic settings with forest scenes, emphasizing the playful and tranquil aspects of nature through vibrant and radiant colours, as signatures of the artist’s oeuvre.
For the first time on display at the gallery in Milan, Carlos Alvarez Las Heras' works invite the public to immerse themselves in a natural dimension made extraordinary by the artist's energetic and singular touch, turning each piece into a dwelling where the psychological character of human subjects coexists with the playful and wild instinct of animals.
