“Portadores de Sentido: Contemporary Art from the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros” is on view at the Museo Amparo in Puebla, Mexico, through Monday, July 22. The group exhibition, the title of which roughly translates to “bearers of meaning,” is curated Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy and brings together work produced between 1990 and 2015 by some 70 artists from throughout Latin America.
Among the included artists are Alfredo Jaar, Liliana Porter, Gabriel Kuri, Jac Leirner, Regina José Galindo, Wilfredo Prieto, Carlos Motta, Mario García Torres, Tania Pérez Córdova, Eduardo Navarro, Mariana Castillo Deball, Mateo Lopez, Pia Camil, Ana Roldán, Amalia Pica, Laura Anderson Barbata, Jorge Pineda, Oscar Abraham Pabón, Luis Molina-Pantin, Felipe Arturo, Priscilla Monge, Federico Herrero, Jessica Lagunas, Fernanda Laguna, and Leda Catunda, among others.
